Axial Resonance Frequency Calculator
Quick Post! Bought a house. Building a studio. Wrote a quick app to help analyze studio spaces. Anyone who knows what Axial Resonance is all about… you’re free to download this app and use it. This formula in this application is based on information found in “How to Build a Small Budget Recording Studio” by F. Alton Everest and Mike Shea, Wikipedia.org, and various internet articles.

Also… my friend Tony lent me the aforementioned book, check him out at the Oxide Lounge in Bloomington, Illinois.
Edit: Uploaded new version with some bug fixes. Added more helpful text, and a screen shot for you to see what you’re getting. It should be noted that there are some floating-point errors in this program. However, it is meant to be used as a general analysis tool, not as an exacting scientific measurement device. After all, once you walk into a room or put stuff into it… all these numbers will change anyway. That being said… I hope somebody finds this helpful. Enjoy!
Another Note: this screenshot is cropped, but the application actually measures up to 400 Hz.
